DALLAS Tx., April 17 - Smart Wear Clothing continues to inspire new clients and advertisers as the Dallas based clothing company was recently taken on by popular senior publication, 'The Senior Voice.'
While the Smart Wear brand has experienced a marked increase in sales and exposure over the last two months, the company has been cautious about ad spending. But recently, co-president and founder, LeaAnn Yost announced that Smart Wear was ready to pull the trigger on some potentially lucrative advertising opportunities.
"I have to be realistic about where we are - and honestly, we are just getting into the early stages of promotion and marketing. Until about two weeks ago, we just weren't ready to take on any serious advertisers. But I am 100% confident in our new marketing strategy and feel we are ready to push our brand to the next level," Yost said.
'The Senior Voice' approached Smart Wear about three weeks ago to discuss advertising and editorial options after senior editor, Carol Butler, read a company press release.
"After reading some press releases and doing some research, I was very impressed with what the company was doing; I just had to get them in our publication. I know how difficult it is to decide on advertising, especially for start-ups, but I feel Smart Wear will really benefit from working with us," Butler said.
Smart Wear will be running a full page promotion in this spring's edition of 'The Senior Voice,' including; a half page ad, half page editorial and full-sized banner ad on the magazine's new website. According to Jennifer Sebey, Smart Wear's web designer and marketing coordinator, the opportunity is golden.
"It's really unique because they [The Senior Voice] pursued us, and have been more than willing to work with us on pricing and package bundling. It was an opportunity we couldn't refuse - they have a loyal readership base and appeal to our target market. We are confident the ad will bolster exposure and draw new clients," Sebey said.

DALLAS, Tx., Mar. 22 - Smart Wear Clothing is aiming high as spring and summer roll
in. The up-and-coming clothing
line has been hosting vendor shows across the metroplex preparing for the
change of the seasons – but as the companies client base continues to grow, the
need for a fresh new line has become a top-priority.
Smart Wear founder and co-president, LeaAnn Yost, announced
today that the company is introducing a new women’s line which includes; a ¾
sleeve and full sleeve animal print blouse and another women’s formal dress
shirt.
“We are very excited about the line extension. It’s a good sign that there is a demand
to do this,” Yost said. “We are
currently in the design phase and will be releasing more information as we get
closer to the finished product.”
According to Smart Wear web designer and marketing
coordinator, Jennifer Sebbey, the new line has been in the works for a while,
but up until last month, the company had not experienced enough growth to
seriously take on the project.
“We have been working on this [the new line] behind the
scenes, but honestly, didn’t expect to seriously unroll it for a while. It’s a great opportunity to attract new
customers and we’re very optimistic about it.
Smart Wear expects to launch the women’s line as early as
next month, and is hoping to capitalize on the warmer weather. Previews of the new apparel will soon
be available on the companies website and at upcoming vendor shows. The next vendor show is April 30th
from 11am-2pm at the Granbury Wellness Center in Granbury, Tx,. The show
is expected to draw a ‘larger-than-average’ crowd as anticipation for the new
line continues to grow.

DALLAS, Tx., Mar. 8 - Yesterday marked a monumental day for
the Smart Wear brand – in addition to another very successful vendor show at
Prestonwood Court in Plano, the company confirmed its first official
‘out-of-state’ sales order.
Around
5pm, co-founder and acting president of Smart Wear Clothing, LeaAnn Yost
announced she had received an order confirmation from Illinois. While the order, a women’s blouse and
set of khaki pants, isn’t exactly newsworthy in and of itself - the
implication of the interstate sale notes an exciting new era for the company.
“I
was elated and very surprised when I received the order. I know our work within the Dallas area
has given us some notoriety, but to know our brand is reaching people in other
states is very exciting,” Yost said.
Over
the last six months, Yost and her colleagues at Smart Wear Clothing have
experienced exponential growth, but until yesterday, the brand had only
established a small niche within the Dallas market. It’s clear; the future seems bright for the start-up
clothing line, but its difficult to determine what actually contributed to the
sale in Illinois.
“I
was equally ecstatic to hear about the order,” web designer and marketing
coordinator, Jenifer Sebbey said.
And honestly, I feel our newly implemented marketing plan has really
broadened our reach. Our web
presence has increased two-fold since joining social media sites like;
Facebook, Twitter and Blogspot.
They just drive more and more traffic to our home site - it's become
an integral part of our business.”
With
no plans of slowing down, Smart Wear looks to rev-up their efforts heading into
the summer months, both in Texas and abroad. According to Yost, the company expects continued success as
the brand keeps growing and gaining prominence.

DALLAS, Tx., Mar. 7 - Last week’s vendor show at Fox Run
Assisted Living Center in Dallas marked another huge success for the
up-and-coming Smart Wear Clothing line.
According
to co-founder LeaAnn Yost, the vendor shows seem to attract more and more
customer’s every time. But, more
importantly, they seem to be bolstering brand awareness across the city.
“It’s
great to see how many people believe in the idea, it gives me and everyone
working with Smart Wear a lot of confidence heading into the future,” Yost
said.
As
spring rolls in, the company expects to see a spike in sales as people look to
spend more time outdoors with friends and family. Smart Wear plans to amp-up their marketing efforts by
doubling their vendor shows in the next few months to capitalize on the opportunity.
Smart
Wear’s senior web designer and marketing coordinator, Jennifer Sebbey commented saying, “We are
excited about the recent growth, and have already locked in two vendor shows
next week. With warmer weather
around the corner, it seems appropriate to push as hard as we can through the
summer.”
This
week, Smart Wear will be hosting back-to-back vendor shows starting Wednesday
at Prestonwood Court in Plano, Tx., and rounding out at Parkwood Senior Center
in Bedford, Tx., on Thursday – if you are interested in the company, but have yet

DALLAS, Tx ., Feb. 27 - Last Friday’s Smart Wear vendor show
at Caruth Haven Court was a complete success. The show proved to be a great opportunity to draw new customers
and promote the brands innovative adaptive clothing line.
According to Smart Wear’s co-founder LeaAnn Yost, last
weeks show was one of the most successful in terms of overall sales and brand
exposure.
“We had a great turn-out, everyone we talked to was very
interested in what we were doing. In fact, Caruth Haven asked us to come back later this month to personally show our line to the resident's families. It’s a good sign for things to come,” Yost said.
As the Company looks to continue increasing exposure, it’s
also gearing up to rollout a new line of women’s blouses, which are expected to
be available for purchase early this April.
Both of Smart Wear’s founders, Yost and Yost’s grandfather
George Brewer are extremely excited about the lines expansion, and agree that
the brand’s recent aggressiveness will pay off in the end.
Smart Wear’s website designer and marketing consultant, Jennifer Sebby commented saying, "We recently implemented a more dynamic marketing plan to
help push our clothing line.
Considering the success of our last vendor show, we look to continue
with that, but we plan to increase our web presence as well. Using social media sites like Facebook and Twitter is a great, cost effective way to reach consumers, and we aim to capitalize on those opportunities.”
Smart Wear’s recent marketing push comes at an opportune time,
as the company sits atop the ‘fashion-wellness’ market. Currently, Smart Wear is the only
company that offers adaptive, buttonless and zipperless clothing – with the
right balance of product rollout and promotion the company stands to experience
serious growth.

DALLAS, Tx., Feb. 17 - Wednesday afternoon marked another
successful vendor show for the up-and-coming Smart Wear Clothing line. The Dallas based company, which was
created roughly six months ago, has capitalized on a unique fashion niche – ‘health-wellness
fashion.’
While
Smart Wear’s goal to provide classic, stylish clothing is not necessarily
unique in and of itself, its chief commitment to alleviate the discomfort and
pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis and neuropathy is.
Each
piece of Smart Wear clothing is outfitted with a set of Velcro closures sewn in
behind traditional buttons and zippers, giving users the “look” of conventional
clothing without the difficulty of actually fastening them. To-date, Smart Wear stands as the only
company to produce and market false-button and false-zipper clothing.
It’s
obvious how Smart Wear benefits those who actually wear it, but the lines
convenient fastening alternative offers care-providers a breath of fresh air as
well.
“The
concept is really innovative - all the pieces are easy for patients to put on,
but even easier for those, like me, who struggle to dress them. A lot of people in the health-care
profession will benefit from it,” nursing colleague Lisa Sanchez said.
The
companies founder and co-president, LeaAnn Yost has served as a rehabilitation
nurse for more than 15 years - during which time, she has developed a personal
conviction to easing the onset of arthritis and neuropathy.
“It’s
hard watching my patients struggle to dress themselves, and after working with
them for a while you can’t help but develop strong relationships. I really wanted to help in another
way,” Yost said.
According
to a recent study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
nearly 50 million Americans suffer from some debilitating form of arthritis.
Unfortunately, the outlook for the aging ‘baby boomer’ generation is daunting
and the number of diagnoses is projected to double over the next 10 years.
“It’s
kind of bittersweet, but I do see this becoming a major market trend as me and
my friends inch closer to retirement,” local businessman, Geoff Willey
joked. “Hopefully I still have a
couple of years before I have buy it (Smart Wear), but when the times come, I
will certainly look into it.”
Currently,
Smart Wear sales are limited to local vendor shows and the companies website,
but Yost already has plans to open retail outlets as early as December of this
year.
She
commented, saying “We already have a working blueprint, now it’s just a matter
of getting the word out, maintaining productive client relationships and laying
a solid foundation.”

DALLAS, Tx., Feb. 15 - Less than six months after founding
the Smart Wear clothing line from her home office in Murphy, Tx., LeaAnn Yost
has established a small but lucrative niche in health-wellness and fashion.
Yost,
co-founder of Smart Wear and physical rehabilitation nurse for more than 15
years, recalls her ‘ahh-ha’ moment as unexpected and life changing – but, it’s the source of her
inspiration that touches members of the senior community and continues to fuel
her appetite for success.
“During
my nursing career, I have witnessed and experienced the difficulties of
individuals who, due to nerve damage, neuropathy, stroke and arthritis simply
can’t dress themselves, and worse, don’t have the option to wear anything but
hospital gowns and sweats, it’s sad.”
Most
of Yost’s customers are seniors, but some, like 41 year-old Mary Foster, are
middle-aged rehab patients who use Smart Wear to supplement their rehab
program.
“Mary’s
situation is a perfect example of our products versatility; she was recovering
from invasive bilateral rotator cuff surgery and was in need of adaptive
clothing. It felt great to help
keep her life on track during the rehabilitation process,” Yost said.
While
her patient’s hardships certainly offer ample motivation, Yost draws most of
her passion and personal conviction from her grandfather George Brewer, a 94
year-old war veteran who served under General Patton. Despite his age, Brewer’s ambition is fully intact, as he is
currently an active co-founder of the Smart Wear operation.
“My grandfather has given so much to me, my family and the community. I really wanted to give something back
to him that could make his life easier and more comfortable. It was hard watching him struggle into
and out of clothing. So, as a team,
we decided to devote ourselves to finding a practical solution,” Yost
said.
When
asked about his granddaughter’s success, Brewer smiled with admiration saying,
“I couldn’t be more proud, serving under Patton wasn’t easy, but it makes
living with arthritis look like child’s play.” He went on jokingly; saying Smart Wear has given back his
‘snazzy’ sense of style he had during his hay-day.
Luckily,
Brewer no longer has to go sans-swag as Smart Wear offers a wide range of
stylish, quality made adaptive clothing for men and women. Each piece of Smart Wear clothing has
Velcro closures that are sewn in behind traditional buttons and zippers, giving
users the “look” of conventional clothes without the difficulties of actually
fastening them. The brand’s line
includes; dress shirts, dress pants and specialty items for all shapes, sizes
and tastes. Smart Wear Clothing
can be purchased at weekly vendor shows or on the companies website.
